The “Luís Monteiro” project is located on the border between the parishes of Penha de França and Beato. This location was previously sought out by the industrious and middle classes, wanting to live closer to the city centre of Lisbon. Today, the area having been integrated into ​​the city itself, it is undergoing extensive remodeling – whenever feasible in such an existing building – as a seasoned practice in the older areas of the city of Lisbon.

The Luis Monteiro project building was in a state of great degradation. The project required the demolition of the existing and a completely new building to be erected, in a mixed structure.The  building, divided into 4 floors, is made up of 6 apartments, with typologies ranging from studios to 2 bedrooms-duplex. The main architectural concern was to respect the characteristics of the area, seeking to make the most of the space and privileging the amazing view of the Tagus River and of the city of Lisbon.
